Martha Daniel’s technology career has spanned both corporate and government sectors. Prior to founding IMRI, Ms. Daniel served in the U.S. Navy and had a lengthy corporate career with positions ranging from mainframe programming to chief information officer for such companies as IBM, Aerojet General, Bekins Transportation, CVN(now QVC), ARCO (now British Petroleum), and FDIC. In 1992, she acquired Information Management Resources, Inc. (IMRI). IMRI has a history of successfully implementing innovative technology solutions that addressed integration challenges for the emerging information technology industry. Ms. Daniel has been involved with technology since 1970, completing her B. S. Degree in Computer Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University – Pomona, and a MBA from the University of LaVerne. Ms. Daniel was recognized nationally for her leadership during the Year 2000 Crisis; the mainframe conversions – Legacy Systems Migrations; and now the Cyber Security Crisis.
Today, under Ms. Daniel’s leadership and strategic vision of “Translating business needs into technology solutions,” IMRI provides program management for over $300 million in data center operations; currently designing the public safety broadband first responder network (FirstNet); and provides cyber security governance and compliance, information assurance, and operations security solutions using the company’s Cytellix Solutions.
IMRI operates nationally in over 16 states with an international presence supporting the Department of Defense. Our team of consultants provide comprehensive technical, engineering, and cyber security support services and solutions for Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington Headquarter Services, U. S. Cyber Command, Department of the Navy, Army, and Air Force, Executive Office of the President, Defense Information Systems and the U. S. Department of Defense Combatant Commands including Europe and Africa and numerous public and private companies – International Paper, Boeing, Booz Allen Hamilton, Bank of America, City of Los Angeles, City of Memphis and Memphis Light Gas and Water.
IMRI is ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in America. As the President and CEO of IMRI, Ms. Daniel led the company in the successful delivery of more than $135 million in technology and engineering services.
A published author and frequent speaker, Ms. Daniel co-authored a book entitled, On the Other Side of Midnight 2000, An Executive Guide to the Year 2000 Problem and most recently co-authored Million Dollar Conversations with 15 entrepreneur women. She is quoted as an industry spokesperson for a variety of publications and has been featured in the New York Times, Black Enterprise Magazine, and LA Times. On numerous occasions, Ms. Daniel has appeared on the “Inside OC” program on PBS, the nation’s sixth-most watched public television station.
Ms. Daniel has received a number of honors and awards for her business acumen and accomplishments. Most recently in 2014, she was honored by the White House as a Champion of Change, Women Veteran Leader. She was also the finalist for the Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Administration in 2016 and received the National Living History Maker Entrepreneur Award sponsored by Turning Point Magazine and Wells Fargo Bank.
